FAQ
Questions, answered
How do I choose a stylist?
Choose by what you need done. Each of us does one kind of work well, and the Find your stylist page lists who does what. If you are not sure, write to the shop and we will point you to the right chair.
Do I need a consultation first?
For color, braids and extensions, yes. Your stylist needs to see your hair and hear its history before they plan the visit. Cuts and blowouts don't need one.
How long will my appointment take?
Every service on the menu lists its time. A short cut takes about half an hour, color runs from a couple of hours to four, and braids and extensions can take most of a day.
Whose rules apply, the shop's or my stylist's?
The shop sets booking, deposit, cancellation, patch test and children rules, and they are the same for every chair. Your stylist sets their own prices, hours and what they do. The policies page lists both.
How does a deposit work?
Long services take a deposit to hold the time. It belongs to your stylist and goes toward your service. The menu marks which services take one.
What if I need to cancel or run late?
Give 24 hours' notice, or 48 for services over three hours. If you are running late, call the shop and your stylist will tell you what still fits.
Do you do a patch test?
For color and bleach, your stylist may ask for one before your first visit, following the maker's directions. Tell them if you have ever reacted to a hair product.
Can I bring a child or a friend?
A child is welcome for their own cut. For long appointments, please arrange care for children, and one quiet companion may sit with you.
How much will it cost?
Each stylist sets their own prices, and the booking page shows the price of the person and service you choose. How pricing works explains what moves a price.
How do I look after my hair between visits?
Your stylist tells you what to use at home and how often to come back, and talks it through at the end of the visit.
